Harr Captures Another Triple Crown Win
After nearly a one-month hiatus from racing for the holidays, the Amsoil Championship Snocross series made its return to the “Daytona of Snocross”, Canterbury Park in Shakopee Minnesota. The horse track is one of the most historic and popular events on the national tour dating back to 1996.
Despite a wind chill of 20 below during Saturday night’s events, fans across the twin cities showed up and sold-out the indoor seating to watch the world’s best go head-to-head. Luckily for them, for the first time this season the series returned to its Triple Crown format; three races consisting of eight minutes plus a lap with a combined score for an overall total.

The Friday night lights were not so kind to our Swedish rider as 7-9-15 finishes put him 11th overall. With this unsatisfactory finish, the #31 was determined to right the wrongs Saturday and he accomplished just that.
Harr opened Round 1 with a fifth-place finish after negotiating lap traffic and some intense back and forth battles. In Round 2, Harr was tied for fourth off the start and shortly went to battle for a top three position. Thanks to some crafty and creative lines around the outside of the track and being one of the only riders to triple-triple in the back whoop section, Harr was able to rocket his Judnick Motorsports Polaris past the competition to his final position of second.
In the final round of the night, Harr was sixth off the start and took part in an early race, three-way battle. He sat in seventh for a majority of the race before finding a new gear and running up the field, picking off rider by rider in the closing stages of the race all the way up to third. His consistent 5-2-3 finishes in the rounds rewarded him with a first overall on the night. With this performance, Harr remains the winningest rider in the Triple Crown format with 5 out of 8 overalls.

Kamm kicked off his weekend by capturing the number one qualifying position going into the night show. In Round 1, he was four wide off the start and participated in some early race battles for a top three position where he edged out a few riders for a third-place finish. Round 2’s start told a similar story as Kamm shot out of a cannon going three wide into the tabletop where he overtook the top spot. It wasn’t long before he had a battle on his hands where he’d go back and forth with the defending champion, but he answered back to his every move before checking out from the field and claiming the top spot.
Going into the third and final round, Kamm was sitting pretty as he had a one-point lead over the competition. Unfortunately, multiple riders jumped the light causing the race to be red flagged and re-racked to ensure a fair start. This restart did not play into our favor as Kamm was pinched and sitting in eighth the second go around, battling the mid pack chaos for the entirety of the race. Unluckily, Kamm was struck by another rider with only a few laps to go, folding his running board into his foot and trapping it in the stirrup, not allowing him to move his leg. This forced him to pull to the side of the track to relieve his foot from the bent running board before returning to the track where he’d get fourteenth. Because of the final round’s misfortune, 3-1-14 finishes placed him sixth overall on the night.
Following Friday’s incident and foot injury, Kamm attempted to go out for practice/qualifying Saturday, however the pain was too unbearable to compete, so he just took starts during the rounds to gather as many valuable championship points as possible. After the weekend, Kamm underwent further tests and x-rays and doctors confirmed his foot is not broken, just incredibly swollen, tender, and bruised. We look forward to having him back at full strength.
