It was a big night of firsts for Oskar Norum. He was making his first ever triple crown start in the ISOC Pro class after missing the debut of the format while he was out with injury last season. He also scored the first ever Pro podium for the KC Motorsports team, who up to this point have focused on the Junior, Sport and Pro Lite classes.
Norum finished 6-2-7 in his Friday night rounds to capture third overall. Triple crowns tend to produce crazy action in their short burst sprint races with a big emphasis on consistently being close to the top five in each stage. Oskar's second place finish in the second stage was just what he needed to drop his overall point total for the night and grab the final step on the box.
Like Christian, Saturday was also a challenge for Norum, starting the day with a 13th place finish in the first stage. He would improved throughout the evening with scores of 10 and seven to finish 12th overall.
Evan Christian -
Friday was a good day, we made sled adjustments throughout the day and just kept getting better. The final was good, just made a mistake and Crayden (Dillon) got by. It was tough to figure out which line was fastest but after he got by it was pretty obvious, but still good to get that podium.
I always want to pull the holeshot and run away but sometimes it's hard to know where they are behind you and if there is a better line.

Oskar Norum -
That was a lot of fun getting that first Pro podium for the team. I was struggling a little bit with vision but I was real comfortable on the sled. There is more riding time with the triple crown and I like that.
We did some changes to the suspension after Ironwood and I was way more comfortable. It showed on Friday and it was just not my day on Saturday, but I'm confident going into Deadwood.
